SPOT ILLUSTRATION

This series of spot illustrations was created for a robotics team’s internal activity logbook, designed to document team-building experiences throughout the season. The activities—ranging from outdoor recreation to museum visits and shared downtime—are intentionally separate from the technical demands of building, designing, and programming, offering space for rest, connection, and relationship-building within the team.
Each illustration features the team’s tiger mascot engaged in a specific activity, drawn to closely align with the existing mascot style established by the team’s art lead to maintain visual consistency across materials. Working within a limited palette drawn from the team’s brand colors, the illustrations emphasize cohesion and approachability while remaining flexible across varied scenarios. Perspective is used to place the viewer within each moment, reinforcing a sense of shared experience rather than observation.
In addition to the illustrations, I designed the accompanying logbook forms to integrate image and function, ensuring the artwork supports reflection and record-keeping without dominating the page. Together, the illustrations and layout form a cohesive visual system that reinforces team identity while highlighting the importance of balance, community, and collaboration beyond competition.
