VISUAL IDENTITY & PACKAGING

I worked with HoldTyte Studios to create a cohesive visual identity across ceramics, jewelry, and small-batch honey production, drawing on Roman, Greek, and medieval traditions. Many ceramic pieces are historical explorations, such as dish sets inspired by medieval jugs given as gifts to valued customers.

Honey labels feature hand-drawn illustrations inspired by illuminated manuscripts, including apple blossoms, leaves, and a fantastical bee with filigree wings, connecting the studio’s craft and materials to place and seasonality. Grounded Light jewelry packaging highlights the handmade nature of the bead and stone pieces, with explanations of each stone’s mystical symbolism, while hand-drawn text and imagery evoke medieval manuscripts and ritual objects.

I also designed marketing collateral, including a brochure using hexagonal motifs and consistent illustrations to align with the studio’s branding. The visual identity was unified with a polished vector logo based on a medieval-inspired knot and clasped hands, two complementary typefaces (a Gothic blackletter-inspired and a contemporary Garamond), and a coordinated Pantone color palette applied to packaging and the website.

Across all materials, my goal was to create a hand-crafted, historically grounded, and intentional visual language that allows HoldTyte Studios’ diverse offerings to speak with a single, recognizable voice.
